Simple hints and tips for troubleshooting YourACM.
Q. All my cards are inside and one or more of them won't
come out.
A.
Don't panic! The ACM is a precision piece of hardware,
and all of your cards must be flat and free of warpage
to work properly. Try this: take the warped card and bend
it back the opposite direction to attempt straightening.
Once the card is straight, slide it back in and it will
work!
Q. What do I do if one of my cards gets stuck?
A. Again, if a card doesn't
come forward when the button is pressed, it is probably
warped. To retrieve the card, first remove all the other
cards and use your fingernails, tweezers or gently grip
with a pair of scissors to pull the card out slightly.
Then straighten the card or replace it with a new one!
Q. What happens if one of the rubber buttons comes out?
A. First, check your pocket!
The buttons are easily popped into place using your fingers.
Each tab must slide into the slots on the button actuator,
and presto! Make sure the forward or front tab (toward
to the card insertion side) is totally IN the slot all
the way. Through rough handling in the pockets, a rubber
button my pop off. Additional buttons may be stored on
the handy Storage Card received with your ACM.
Q. What do I clean my ACM with?
A. A simple cotton cloth
or sunglasses chamois with no cleaner needed. Rub any
prints, smears or smudges right off the hard anodized
surface.
Q. A certain card that I like to carry doesn't stay in
tightly. What can I do?
(Card is too narrow)
A. Some cards our customers
use aren't issued by credit card companies and are cut
slightly different. A thinner, slightly smaller card can
be remedied by using our handy adhesive widening strips
on one edge or both, to make the card slightly wider.
Q. My card is too big. Can I make it fit?
A. YourACM.com doesn't recommend
trimming a card down to fit. If you so choose to trim
your card, be as clean and neat as possible as not to
leave any burs or small pieces hanging. These may damage
the gripping surfaces inside Your ACM, voiding the
warranty. As most cards are only slightly too big, cutting
with scissors usually won't work. Filing the card my yield
better results, but again, YourACM.com does not recommend
this.
Q. It's hard to get my cards back in after I take one
out. Is there a way to make it easier?
A. As with any small hand held
device, it only takes a short time to get aquainted with
it's operation. A television remote control for example,
becomes second nature after only a very short time. You
don't even have to look after awhile! The same holds true
for the ACM. Once you've used it for a week or so,
you will actually start to know which card is where without
even looking!
Q. What is my ACM made of?
A. The ACM is
made of a very durable poly-plastic and hard annodized
in four brilliant colors mimicing brushed metal.
Q. What if my ACM fails to operate
correctly?
A. In the unlikely event
that your ACM breaks, arrives broken, or fails to
operate correctly before the end of one year from purchase,
please send the unit back to us. Please see the Limited
Warranty information provided in the link below.
